Our History
With a storied history as an acclaimed River Guide on the Salmon, Snake, Selway, and Grand Canyon rivers, a Certified Coast Guard captain, an accomplished hang glider pilot, and an integral part of the Salmon River dive and rescue team, Mark Hollon would humbly quip that his greatest accomplishment is his 35+ year marriage to his wife Michelle, their two adult children Cade and Makaila, and three beautiful granddaughters.

Gold Mining Ingenuity
With a strong penchant for working with his hands, attention to detail, and a creative mind, Mark has owned a successful auto body repair shop for over two decades. During that time, he followed his dream of gold mining, recovering many ounces of gold by dredging, high-banking, metal detecting, and exploring old drift mines. His ingenuity, creativity, and knowledge culminated in Mark's Re-envisioning of the Highbanker.
Team Work
Michelle Hollon was a successful whitewater river guide, raced jet boats, and survived her first date with Mark while flying tandem in a hang glider. As the business manager of the local school district, she's established herself as a key member of the community; Michelle brings a drive and determination that is second to none. The combination of their talents has driven their success and the vision needed to launch their new product, the "Gold Maker" Highbanker, designed for both beginners and professional gold miners.
